Now Is the Time to Jump on the AI Express

Remember the internet boom? Think back—where were you in the year 2000?
I had just left school. Like many people at the time, I didn’t have the faintest clue how the web worked. It wasn’t until around five years later that I really began to understand it—just as technologies like Yahoo, Google, Google Maps, eBay, MySpace, and Facebook started becoming household names.
We watched platforms rise and fall. Some disappeared without a trace. Others reshaped how we live and connect. Looking back, I wish I’d had a stronger grasp of web standards and development back then—I might’ve caught the wave. Meanwhile, kids like Mark Zuckerberg were already building apps from their dorm rooms. All it took was one great idea—an idea that changed everything. He never looked back.
At that time, the stack looked very different: PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, self-managed hosting servers—you had to write almost everything from scratch. It wasn’t just time-consuming; it was expensive and technically demanding. Yet, I consider myself lucky to have seen it all unfold. I know how much work it took to build and launch a product back then.
People like Mark succeeded not just because they were technically brilliant, but because they had vision and moved fast. They knew how to ship something meaningful, capture interest, and bring others along for the journey.
Now, nearly 25 years later, we’re standing at the start of another seismic shift: the AI boom.
Today’s tools allow us to build smarter, faster, and cheaper than ever before. You don’t need to be a seasoned developer to prototype an idea. With AI at our fingertips, the barriers to building something impactful have never been lower.
So here we are—2025.
What are you going to build with AI?
Are you going to let the train leave the station while you stand and watch? Or will you get on board and see where it takes you? Sure, the journey is unknown. There will be stops along the way where you’ll question whether to get off or keep going. That uncertainty is exactly why so many companies still haven’t fully embraced AI—they’re unsure how to integrate it into their workflows.
But my advice? Stay on. Ride it out.
I’ve seen this pattern before. I’ve watched technologies evolve from obscure side projects to foundational infrastructure. And I’ve always wished I was more involved from the beginning.
AI will open doors we can’t yet imagine. All it takes is one great idea—just one—to be part of the next big wave.
Now is your time.
Get on the train
